Basic Life Support (BLS) is a set of emergency medical procedures used to maintain or preserve life until advanced medical care is available. It involves techniques like Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Rescue Breathing using BVM's as well as using Automatic External defibrillation (AED)
In-facility care providers, including Dental and Nursing staff, care aides. Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in a fire service, rescue team, sports- medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol.

Full course: 6 hours
Recertification: 4 Hours
(2 hours BLS (+1 Hour Oxygen Management) (+1 Hour Airway Management))

Canadian Red Cross BLS Certificate valid for 1 year. Upon completion of the recertification Red Cross will issue an electronic certification.
